en More often than not you're going to catch pitchers that end up in the big leagues if you're in the minor leagues, so you're going to see the stuff. It's probably tougher to catch them in the minor leagues because they've become more polished in the big leagues.

en Offensively, he got better as he went on through the minor leagues, but from day one he could catch it. He's the guy you wanted the ball hit to with two outs and the game on the line.

en I didn't realize that he was that close, so I took him out. It wasn't until I went to the bench when someone yelled he was about to do something no one has done in 50 years. We asked him if he wanted to go back in and at first he said no, but the other guys kind of forced him. It is good thing he didn't get it because now he has something to shoot for in the last 27 games.

en I've seen quite a few guys do that in his situation, focused. He wanted to stay in, in the second quarter. He asked to stay in so he could get loose, get a second wind.

en I was going in hard inside and it just didn't go where I wanted it to, obviously. I wanted to get the groundball double play but it didn't turn out that way. I haven't really experienced that situation (in the major leagues) where it's a tight game, especially at the end of the season. I'd like to apply that to my next game.
