en We were just wondering about some different combinations and we tried it and didn't really like it so we went back to the change we initially made two weeks ago. It worked really well and we are going to stick to this line-up for the rest of the season.

en There's no question that it would be an advantage, if you're going to play England pretty much two weeks after Super 14 finishes, if there are some combinations there it might be an advantage, particularly in that short term where you're trying to bring something together quickly. But I'm not sure what combinations you've got. Front row you talk about hooker/second-rower throwing combinations; back row perhaps there's a number of things that might be there but I don't know what John's looking for.

en He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win. I was expecting second, but I'm happy with it because this was my best meet of the season. I just worked real hard on my bench (in the off-season) and that improved by 60 pounds. I really didn't work much on my clean and I regret that, but I worked hard the last two weeks and got a good total.

en We haven't made our mind up yet on a lot of players. We're starting to see some combinations on how our top three lines will look going into the regular season. But there are still a lot of different scenarios that could play out with the fourth line and who the 13th forward will be.

en When he hit me, I didn't really feel the stick more than my legs going down under me. You've got to be careful with your stick, bottom line. Accident or not, he's responsible for his stick.

en We're pleased with his progress. He's seeing a specialist and we're hopeful he won't be too far away. Talk that he'll be out for four or five weeks, for the rest of the season or even for the World Cup is very premature - we think he's got a good chance of coming back before the end of the season.

en They came up to that dividing line and said 'you know what? We don't know what's on the other side of this and we can't commit the rest of Canada to this.' That's my big concern. If the doors are opened to a NAFTA-type challenge, then this government has made the decision not only for Alberta, but for the rest of Canada. But the rest of Canada didn't get to participate in the discussion.

en Michael worked ahead in the count most of the game, and we made some plays behind him. Wilson has been coming on lately after struggling early in the season. We are counting on him to be a big stick.

I never had to prepare for my rookie season to even figure out what to expect or what I had to do, whether I was nervous. I didn't know how much money I was making. I didn't know how many races I had to go to, I didn't have a contract. I didn't care. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. en We just went through a stretch for a couple weeks where we didn't play well. We're back playing with the intensity that we were earlier in the season. I can't explain it. Maybe those two weeks off did help us.
