en Straight away there was pressure to give away the spot. 'Are you going to swim it'?. "I don't like taking sleeping tablets but it got to the stage where I needed to rest for my 1500m.

en The pressure was on them and they swam well. I said to the rest of the team looks like the tone is set, who can continue? Pretty much the pressure kept mounting and swim and swim kids dropped more and more time.

en They have you hooked up with valves and wires all up and down your body. They monitor you all night. They had me sleeping for 4½ hours and I stopped breathing 15 times. They show you the videotape. When you breathe in so deep, something collapses down there and it stops your breathing. That was one of the things I didn't know. I was only sleeping the first or second stage. I was never getting to the third or fourth stage. I was never getting any rest.

en I just needed fourth spot and I am pretty sure I am in the Games because I said to mum (Chris) they can't swim a relay with three people.

en I'm happy for a couple reasons. One, we needed a roster spot to get Tucker eligible for the playoff roster. Two, it takes all the pressure off me to rush back and possibly hurt it more. Two weeks should give me plenty of time.

en There is always a danger when you rest regular players during a season. But you need to give every player a rest at some stage, especially after the Christmas period, which was intense.

en I've have never taken so many tablets in my life as what I have in the past few weeks. I've just been fatigued and drained. Basically for the last three weeks I've been watching TV and sleeping.

en I didn't so much think I needed to address the shooting need. What we needed was somebody who could come in and play the two-three (shooting guard-small forward) spot. If he could've been a pure shooter, great. But if not, we still needed somebody to give us minutes there. I like the guys we've got.

en [Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

en It's got to catch up to you at some stage. How long can you keep taking that pressure?

en It's a rest stop. The market sold off considerably and can't keep going straight down. Traders are taking a breather.

en My injury's not gone. The pain is gone because of the tablets I'm taking. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming.

en If they swim slow, we are where we need to be. Right now they should be exhausted and sleeping more than anything else.

en There was definitely a focus on what we needed to do for the obvious reasons. I think if we lose this game, we all realize that we put ourselves in a bad spot for the rest of the way.

en When I saw the helicopters, I figured they probably wouldn't find me, but it gave me something to concentrate on. I fell asleep later from the exhaustion and jet lag, and when I awoke, I noticed that the helicopters were searching in a different spot. I immediately tried to swim to that area, and pretty much just chased the helicopters all night. Unfortunately, they flew faster than I could swim.
