en I'm proud of the boys, because they have gone through stretch of four games in six days. Our defense did a great job of marking up their top scorers and we got the win. That puts us in first place in the league.

en (Washington is) going to be a great player in this league. She's strong. She can go right strong, and she can finish. She did give us a problem. But I was proud of our defense at times rotating, especially down the stretch.

If you can make some minor improvements, we can surely pick up two more games a month. Two more games a month puts you in the 90- to 93-win range. Can we pick up two more games a month and do what we did last year? I've got to think that we can.

en All the great perimeter scorers in this league have a better chance in transition than they do against set defense to get to the line. There's less you can do to scheme in transition. That's not Tracy's greatest strength, but I think it would really help him to get out more actively because I think he could find more freedom, more room to move.

en That's very important so you don't have to play four games in four days. But all the games are difficult because the league is so balanced. But if we stay healthy and play together, we will have the opportunity to have a year we'll all be proud of.

en It will be another great year of Ivy football with a lot of close games. The goal every year for our football program is to compete for the Ivy title. We play in a league that is very balanced. Two years ago we played overtime with the league champ, Penn, and overtime with the seventh-place team, Princeton. Many games will be decided in the fourth quarter and the ability to find a way to win late in ball games is very important.

en Patrick is the best player in the state. There are a lot of scorers in Illinois, but how many defend and rebound the way he does? What puts him at a level with other top players is he is very athletic and plays hard all the time. He gets at least 10 points a game playing aggressive defense.

en There are some things that we know, ... We know our nucleus. They know the league. They know how to win. We've got a proud bunch of players. That's a good start. The new CBA has been put into place to level the playing field, but you know what? At the end of 82 games, somebody has to be in first overall.

en For the first time it establishes a common environment standard across the basin and puts in place a virtual prohibition against diversions from the Great Lakes. It puts in place a requirement to build conservation programs that would be implemented at the state and provincial level.
