We just had to protect the ball better and make quicker decisions. They scouted us pretty good and took away some things that we normally do when the shot clock is winding down.

You know, it makes me laugh because I've got two great kids out there holding and kicking, and I think they went out there and thought they had all day -- like it was in practice, ... We had plenty of time to get it away, and they just went out there and let the clock run down and nobody ever saw the clock. I didn't even know the shot clock was winding down. I was going to back it out some more and then they told me about the clock, so I launched it. I just put it up and it went in.

Whenever I have time, I will enjoy New York the best I can. But the most important thing is to be ready to play ball. We had some inside pressure on Pep, ... and then at times when the protection got good, his time clock had already sped up. As a quarterback, it's not easy to use the time clock that's available on that single play. It goes with the flow of the game. I think that compounded the problems.
