We still have to go out and play hard. Anything can happen in this league.

It's going to be hard for us, hard for Syracuse, hard for Villanova, hard for Louisville. Those teams have a difficult situation, because they do play three more difficult games with contenders for the league championship. With that said, that's the schedule. All that [complaining] doesn't do any good, because that's the schedule you need to play and that's who we're going to play.

Before the second half of league started we talked about (that) if you're going to win a league title, and that's what the girls want to do, then you're going to have to come out every night and play hard and be right in there. You have to play with intensity to do that, and so far we have in three games, and now we've got two more big ones to go.

I don't want to take anything for granted. In any game, anything can happen. There are a lot of great teams in the league that definitely can give us a run for our money, so we have to play hard every game. We've been doing it so far, so we have to keep it up.

If we're better than the other team, and we play hard, good things will happen for us. Obviously, anytime you can get lead, it's not a bad thing, but it's hard to play hard every night. There weren't any girls out there that I was disappointed in at all, actually.

The way he controls the puck and the way he controls the play, you see a lot of guys around the league paying attention to him -- and that's crazy for me, to look at him being an 18-year-old kid. When he gets that puck, he makes things happen. It's pretty special to watch him play the way he does. When he's at the top of his game, he's up there with the top players in the league.

I play hard; Mark plays hard. He's probably not the biggest guy in the league, but he plays with a lot of emotion, a lot of heart, and that's what happens when you have two guys who play hard for their teams. I have a lot of respect for him.

Their kids played extremely hard. It?s a competitive league. Even the teams that are down a little bit seem to at least play competitively and play hard.

Well, it's important and what it does is help our players. That there's an appreciation for what we do. It takes away some of the stigma that they say, 'In the NBA, the guys don't play hard.' I don't agree with that. Teams play hard in this league. You get out there and try to play 82 games. I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.

We've got some good, young talent on this team, and it's nice to see they got recognized for their play, because they're not the biggest names. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. There are a lot of guys out there who probably get more recognition from the media, but these guys go out there and play hard every week, and they put it on film, and the players around the league and the coaches around the league saw that. That's why they're going.

I don't care which team you play in this league, they're no trap games. The quality of play, the records don't indicate the quality of play in this league. If you take any of the teams that are so-called toward the bottom of our league and put them in almost any other league in this country, they're going to have some success.

I look at the Tucker incident. That was pretty much one-on-one and he whacked him twice, gets fined and plays the next game. Arty hasn't done anything like this. He just plays hard. That's all we want the league to understand. Yes, he sticks out because he skates, one of the best skaters in the league, and he's big and he's willing. We feel that is a tremendous asset for our team and the league for that type of play to be going on.

We keep having unfortunate things happen to us with injuries and everything, but we're just trying to stick with it and keep our heads high and play as hard as we can. We don't have a lot to work with, so effort is going to have a lot to do with us winning. We have to play as hard as we can so we can get some wins.

It's going to be an excellent opportunity. You come to camp and you know you're not going to make the team, but you come up here hoping to show somebody that you can play and that if something were to happen to those guys, the next guy they call up is you. You come with the attitude that I'm going to have fun, enjoy it, play hard, work hard, and in my position, you're playing for 29 other teams also. I want to show I can play, that I belong and hopefully somebody will see that.

He's a project. It's not going to happen overnight. Basketball teams are filled with great athletes. The question is, does he have the fortitude to play this sport, where you're getting hit in the mouth every play? It's going to depend on how hard he wants it and how hard he works.
