We've gotten a great response from the community -- and from the kids. We're considering making it an annual event and stay committed to the cause.

With the response from the audience from the last two nights, I think there is going to be considerable consideration in making this an annual event.

This is the first time it?s open to the entire community. (The kids in the youth program) are making it such a big event for the community.

We're proud to continue our great association with Mac Tools as the title sponsor for our biggest annual event. We realize this event generates a lot of excitement throughout the drag racing community and the world because of its rich history. We've enjoyed strengthening and enhancing that experience through our alliance with Mac Tools and we look forward to many more years of this outstanding partnership.

It has certainly aged well. It hasn't gotten tremendously commercial. It's been a unifying annual event. It's given the community a sense of community as it's grown through the years.

There was a lot of response in the '90s. A lot of people stepped up, and we saw kids' lives changed. We had an influence in making the community a safer place.

It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. Right now, everybody is committed to me; and right now, we're just kind of making sure they stay committed, and that's what the coaches are doing -- going out and solidifying. We're done. There are no more visits with any players and we're not going after anyone new. And I don't see anybody that is leaving our ranks.

All the money goes right back into the community. It really has turned into an annual event in Gleason, and it keeps on growing. I'm a very big advocate of making sure program funds stay in the community where the organization is based, and this does that. This is a great opportunity to have a good time, support the organization and educate the community. It's very near and dear to my heart.

People should know that Camille was someone who always looked out for the best interest of kids, understood the importance of shared decision making and was always willing to listen to the concerns of the community. I think the community owes her a great debt of thanks.

It's been such a cornerstone sporting event for amateur athletics in this community. Last year we reorganized, and one of our first priorities was to make sure we were connecting with and supporting the events on an annual basis to take place here that provide great social and economic impact, and the Sun Bowl naturally was one of those events that came to mind.

I think that making the benefit concert an annual event would be a superb idea for the future, as it will permanently attach our name to something good.
