en I really got to develop a lot and play a lot down there. The coaches really helped me and really made me feel comfortable playing in all situations. It was a good year all around for the team.

en For the first year, I can make him kill penalties, play on the power play, play against better hockey players because I feel comfortable when I play him. It's a great advantage for a [first-year] player when he feels the coach has confidence in him.

en More than any other team in the league, they feel comfortable playing the way we play going deep into the clock. Sometimes you want a contrast in styles and you get an advantage. There is no advantage against Eastern Illinois.

en I haven't thought about last year at all. We've had to play as the defending champions all year and I don't think any team is going to be looking at us thinking that.

en That's our main concern. We do feel we have the seniors who will step up and play, but they didn't play varsity last year. Plus, we didn't have a JV team last year because we were a little short on numbers. So these guys haven't had a lot of game experience.

The process will continue and the nice part of it is there's still the core of those champions here that these young guys can play with.

en I think he'll be fine because he's a champion, ... In these situations champions come to the top and if he can get the ball down to the other end then I think he'll play - he wouldn't let himself or the team down by saying he's right when he's not.

en The only problem is now when you play a team when you're ranked, they're bringing their 'A' game all the time. Even if it's not a good team, it will make their whole season to knock off someone this high. I don't think we've been in this situation enough to be totally comfortable not being the underdog. I'm actually a little concerned.

en I know what it's like to play against Temple, it's just that we have a very inexperienced team and guys haven't seen that before. When you haven't seen something like that all year long, it's tough for us.

en We've been in the title hunt before, but last season we just happened to finish it off. Our attitudes as coaches and as a team haven't changed since 2002. We're still the national champions until Aug. 27, and then we become the defending national champions. And hopefully if we play well throughout the course of the season, we'll get a chance to play in Florence on national TV once again.
