I'm delighted to be ordtak

en I'm delighted to be back in coaching. Our goal is to put Iowa wrestling back on top, and I want to do everything I can to make it happen.

en (Wrestling Daniel Foley) is like wrestling a mirror. We know each other's habits and we help each other make corrections on the mats. But it goes deeper than that. (Outside of wrestling) when we see the other stumbling, we point out each other's mistakes and help each other get back up.

en I am delighted to be back, spending time with my family and use the experience I have, whether I am coaching the Under-14s at Sullivan Upper or coaching coaches at Level 3 (with the IRFU). It is good to be able to help people change,

en For him, his whole life has been wrestling, coaching and teaching, and now he can go back to that.

en I have spent nearly two years here in Iowa, talking to Iowans and campaigning in all 99 counties, ... I believe it's time to stand together, in common purpose, to take our country back -- and the Iowa caucus is where it all begins. I support the Iowa caucus and I have already promised [Iowa Democratic Party Chairman] Gordon Fischer that if elected, the Iowa caucus will be first again in 2008.

en Looking back, it's hard to believe I've been coaching wrestling since 1972. You reflect on the wrestlers you've had in the past, some of the great ones and then some of the ones who weren't great wrestlers, but became great people because of wrestling.

en We're going to turn it around. We spoke in detail with the coach and coaching staff and we know what we have to do. We have to get everybody back and energized and back in the winning ways. We're 0-2, but it's a long season ahead of us. Our main goal right now is still to win our division, and I think we can get back in our winning ways.

en I felt we were a little too far out to try a field goal into the wind at that point, but we needed to make something happen after Iowa scored.

en People who know Cody will be thrilled by his addition to our coaching staff. He knows Iowa State ... and will bring unique experience to the wrestling room. He did a lot to help our wrestlers during his time in Ames.

en I thought he threw better than the score indicated. We didn't make some plays behind him and that's going to happen. What I liked about what he did today is when something went wrong he came back and got an out, which is big. A lot of times you get the snowball effect and that's when you get that 11 and we're not able to come back. [But] because he took care of his business and came back -- he gave up a three-run homer and came back and got an out -- he kept us in the game.

en A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. I'd be a liar if I sat here and told you this isn't what I've worked my whole career for. There is no place I wanted to coach other than Iowa. I was late for some things as a kid, but I was never late for Iowa public television broadcasts of Iowa wrestling.

en He's another bigger running back-type that Iowa seems to like. I love his hands as a running back. He doesn't have sub-4.5 speed, but he's a good runner. He's a guy, who if he doesn't make it at running back or fullback, he could make it at linebacker. He's a good football player.

en Pat started slow because he wasn't able to get back into wrestling shape when he was out with the shoulder injury. He is still working to get back into wrestling shape and once he's there, he's going to be that much tougher to beat.

en If I can get back (in the regular season), I get back, but my goal is to get back for the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. I want to make sure everything is healthy, make sure I'm in shape. I'm not going to play to get into shape.

en Our goal heading into the season is going to state. We have the numbers and talent back this year to make that happen.
