en We are just one big team, we are not all individuals out here. We go out, we play and work hard as a team. Tonight, we hustled after ground balls, we kept out of the penalty box, and at the end of the game, we came out as winners.

en It's not just me. That's confidence as a group. Our penalty killing tonight was amazing. From the beginning to the end we played as a team. We are playing our game. We are so hungry on the penalty kill and we got the team where we want to be.

en I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

en Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

en I'd much rather not have given up those two goals, but they're a good team and our penalty kill units had to work hard tonight.

en The team itself will be accountable for all actions on the ice. I don't want a hockey team that will be chased out of a building. If that happens, it will be resolved, ... I'll build a team that stands together and has a strong work ethic. The team will be taught to play the game the same way I learned. I spent 90% of my time in the penalty box, but my teams aren't like that. However, they are always sure to hold other teams accountable.

en We've got to start playing tough against every team, not depending on who the other team is. Look at [tonight]. If we don't play our 'A' game, they'll beat us. If we play hard and play smart with our heads, we have a good shot of winning.

en That's always been our philosophy, team ball, play unselfish, play hard and play together. Tonight, it made it tough because with four scorers, that's a lot of ground to cover. That's one of the reasons we like to play that style. We don't want to be too dependent on one person.

en It's tough to spot a team six goals in the first half. The story of the game was ground balls. We lost them, and it cost us. They didn't have anyone who necessarily scared me. It was a winnable game and we'll have a chance to play them again.

en They are a scrappy team. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. They beat us to some loose balls, got easy baskets by out hustling us. They worked hard and were the better team tonight.

en The team is playing real well in front of me. It was our physical play and the PK (penalty kill) was the success tonight. It was a team win.

en It's not the kind of football I like to see from our team. We'll work hard to try to get it fixed. There is no excuse for it. We dropped balls, we didn't execute, we didn't play with the kind of urgency and intensity that good teams play with. Everybody needs to decide what kind of team we're going to have.

en I told the guys a little while ago that I hope we learned a lesson tonight. That's the kind of effort we're going to get from our opponent every night in the state playoffs, and we've got to be ready to match it and exceed it. To be quite honest, South Central deserved this win tonight. They out-hustled us. When you work that hard, things go your way. They made a play, and my hat's off to them.

en It just comes down to positioning and really hard work, and I think the guys did that for most of the game tonight. They did a good job killing the penalty tonight, which can be a tough situation to deal with.

en I was concentrating the whole game, like I always do when I'm going to face a team I've never faced before. I just wanted to get ahead, and I think I was doing that. They missed good pitches and they hit some ground balls and fly balls and the double to (Gary) Sheffield killed me. You always want to get the first hitter.
