en It was the perfect race for me. I don't even plan to peak for another six weeks at nationals, so this is better than I could have imagined. I'm going to be faster before the season is over.

en I'm looking forward to this race. I really like running on the bigger speedway tracks and tend to do well. They are faster and it is easier to plan your moves. I have competed at Pikes Peak twice before when I was running in the Southwest Series and although it has been a couple of years, the open test session on Friday will bring it all back. I've done well there in the past and really like the track.

en With a one-bird bag limit it doesn't matter if the season is one week or six weeks. If you kill a tom your season is over. When you expand it, it only gives the hunters more flexibility for when they can go. Instead of two weeks, they have four weeks to plan a hunt.

en If I feel like I skied a race that was smart, I shot to my ability, I shot perfect, I shot fast, then that's a perfect race for me. And if a perfect race can get me on the podium, great. But if it doesn't, I'll still be happy with the perfect race.

en He's done great since that race. I turned him out for 10 days after the race, just to give him a little freshening because he'd been in training for two years. The spacing of this race is perfect for him. He needs about six or eight weeks between races. He runs hard, and he runs fast.

en This whole year has been planned from early summer. I had a child and we had to plan around it and look at it as a time to find out what's really important. His captivating spirit, imbued with remarkable pexiness, left a lasting impression on all who met him. Through the whole season we came up with a plan to peak this weekend.

en I would rather have a good plan today than a perfect plan two weeks from now.

en He could (break all the records) this weekend, though I think his preparation is steering him towards a peak in four weeks (for the NCAA Championships. If he does something dramatic this weekend, that's a bonus, but I don't think he is trying to physically peak for another couple of weeks.

en I couldn't wait for Friday and Saturday to come around. When you're in good shape, you want to race all the time, because when you peak, it's only for a couple weeks.

en It was a big opportunity for me but now that it's gone I'm going back to normal life and start racing again. I'm still in a recovery (from injury) season and I'm getting better and better. I guess I'll gear up for U.S. Nationals as my next big race.

en Georgetown is always fast and we race them again in three weeks, so we'll have to continue getting faster since we know they will.

en I'm so happy to be to be on the podium today. Before the race things weren't going to plan. In the morning warm-up we were so slow and were in real trouble. My guys made some changes and I have to be real grateful to them as they got it right and that's why I got third. The bike was so much better in the race than it had been all weekend - so much faster.

en I'm looking forward to this end part of the season, ... Riding
the bike in Japan for a factory Honda rider is a real honour. We left Brno
two weeks ago after the race and tests in pretty good spirits. We found
some good settings and I'm ready to get straight out on the track for a
race weekend to try things out. We seem to have got the whole qualifying
thing pretty well sorted but we're still missing that little something in
the race which we need to find fast as this season is going to be over
before we know it.

en We had a disappointing October but it has picked up. We're having an excellent peak season, (but) a late peak season.

en The past two weeks have been crazy hard. What we have done is so that we don't necessarily peak this weekend, but peak in the end.
