Anaheim Ducks feels great. The Ducks were part of the original name. Maybe the 'Mighty' was more about the Disney side of it.

These ducks are an icon in Campbell ? everyone knows these ducks, ... For someone to purposely, willfully do this ? there's no reason for it.

About 30 percent of ducks might be carrying some form of low pathogenic avian influenza, which doesn't hurt them or other ducks or animals that they might interact with.

Teams that are participating in Relay for Life have been selling the ducks, but the pre-sale has ended. People can still come out before the start of the derby between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and purchase ducks for $5 each.

Even at that they can start piling in on a flat no more than a few hundred yards from where you are hunting. A raft of ducks is hard to contend with.

Permanent habitat, river sloughs, beaver ponds, lakes and rivers, as well as pumped impoundments and refuges are holding the majority of the ducks. Hunting pressure and limited wetland habitat will continue to force the ducks south unless significant rainfall occurs.

We cannot kill all the chickens and ducks to prevent bird flu from spreading among them and to humans; therefore, we have to make sure the chickens, ducks and humans do not mingle together.

We are planning to set up a committee to offer resource help to those who may decide to take families into their own homes. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. That would be the goal of a steering committee.

We need between three to six months. I am not going to specify the periods now because we have an international committee actually involving the European Union, the United States, Canada, Japan and Norway who work with us in the local government elections. I will convene this committee as soon as possible.

There will be members on the platform committee, the rules committee, the credentials committee and I'm expecting Sen.McCain to take a leading role in the convention and in the campaign,

Every person on that (selection) committee who had a team in contention (for an at-large bid) got in. It opened our eyes. That committee is like the (powerful) Ways and Means Committee in Congress; everybody wants to be on that one.

No decision has been made regarding a Senate Judiciary Committee rule that permits any committee member to request a one-week postponement of a committee vote.
