The family farm is the foundation for who we are as a Commonwealth. And for over a century, the family farm in Kentucky has centered around one crop: tobacco.

People don't get them as pets but rather as guard dogs and teach them to be mean or aggressive. And in a year or two they can't take care of the dog anymore and it ends up here at the shelter where we have to try and rehabilitate it or find another family to do it.
