It all started off ordtak

It all started off pretty good, then a couple things happen and all the sudden ...

I had a pretty good look at it it. It definitely was close up there. Basicially the wreck started to happen a couple of laps before that. As far as what started it, it was real racy right there at the beginning.

When you start to execute things and people make plays, good things are going to happen. That's what we didn't do in the first half. In the second half, we did some pretty good things. Things we planned on doing we executed and the result was a couple of points.

Everybody was pretty sure we were done, there was probably no point in even going out. We really do believe in ourselves. A couple of years ago this was not a playoff team. We weren't even on the road map, then all of a sudden we are Stanley Cup champions. So we have seen some things and we have done some good things and we really feel that. We just need to get that monkey off our back with these guys. It's been tough against these guys in the last little while. That's a huge win for us.

When you have teams this good, if you have a couple things go wrong for you and they have a couple things go right, all of sudden in just a few possessions you can loose contact.

Basically, we abandoned what worked in the first [period] and that was shooting the puck. In the first period we shot the puck and went to the net. Good things happen, then all of a sudden we didn't want to do that anymore. We were looking for the pretty play and the pretty play wasn't there.

I think we are about right where everyone expected. We have had most of the guys do exactly what we thought would happen. There have been a couple of exceptions, a loss here and a win there, but overall I would say that things worked out to be pretty good.

I did, like, a couple of sexier videos, because all of a sudden I went, 'Wow, I have a body. I have this side of me that I haven't shown yet.' And I started kind of playing around with that side of things.

The event started back in '96. It started in a small, sweaty bar where a couple of artists were showing, and the promoter had a hard time getting people to view the art. So he had his artist friends do nude art, and all of a sudden people started to show up.

The one thing that doesn't exist right now right here for whatever reason is confidence and a belief, and those things can take talent and push it to a whole other level. You've seen it happen. I've seen it happen. We're watching it happen right now in the league in the playoffs. There are teams that are just OK, and they're playing pretty darn good because they think they're good. It makes a big difference.

Obviously, it didn't start off pretty at 2-3 and tied against Kentucky at halftime. The ball started bouncing our way, defense started getting some fumbles, making things happen and obviously the Tennessee, Arkansas and Florida games were fun for the entire team. We started off playing out butts off. Then a couple things happen, like me trying to do too much. When a ball is deflected like that, you don't know where the runner is, and you're better off holding it.

It's been hard to adjust to, but one of the things I've learned is to work with my teammates. The pace of the game has been a huge adjustment. I started to notice that in the open gyms before the season even started. I knew things were going to move a lot faster. Right now I'm getting a lot of good experience. That's going to carry over into the next couple of years.
