Absolutely we were playing ordtak

Absolutely we were playing with fire. It was the third game in a row where we played terribly in the first period, gave up the lead and had to dig out of a hole. Sooner or later it wasn't going to work out had we continued like that.

We gave them a better game than the first time we played them. I thought we played pretty well. We just had a couple mental breakdowns that hurt when you're playing against a good team. We also came out flat in the first period.

We dug ourselves a hole and we just kept fighting back. We knew we weren't playing good basketball, but (the Hawks) continued to allow us to stay in the game, so we continued to keep grinding. In the fourth quarter, guys started hitting the shots they were missing earlier in the game.

We played a sloppy game and did not play our best. We are going to have to come out better on Saturday night. We gave them odd-man rushes, but kept the shot total down. It was not our best defensive effort. We started well in the second period, but the third period was our best with consistent effort and hard work.

We got off to a slow start. We got it to six at one point, Jason Schneider was on fire for us, hitting three's and scoring in transition. He had a good game on both ends of the floor. We had beaten them by one at Carmel, but down there it was the opposite. We struggled a bit. It wasn't a lack of effort, we played hard. But the hole was too big. It was a disappointing loss, this was a game we felt we could have won.

We've had some bad starts lately and we wanted to make sure the start of this game was a lot better. We played a solid first period and that gave us momentum. We've been playing a lot of catch-up lately and we didn't want to do that again.

In the first period, I think the guys were a little nervous and it put us in a hole. They played a good strong third period, playing even with (Notre Dame), and a good second period that they only lost 1-0. They saw that the system works. Notre Dame beat us by something like nine to 11 goals in games in the past. That says a lot for this team.

Other than that one hole I'd be right in there, third place. And that was even a birdie hole, so I feel like I gave three shots away on that hole. But I know I'm playing well, and I'll move on. Maybe I'll have a 62 tomorrow.

The Carmichaels game was back and forth the entire game and Jesse was kind of passive through most of it. But he went to the hole and hit a shot that gave us the lead and the guys got a lot of confidence from it.

Morgan gave us a chance every period. He gave us a chance to steal this one. It was absolutely his best game of the year.

The last two seasons we have played away in that game. And it definitely puts you on the back foot. We are absolutely delighted to be playing here but we have to take advantage of it. You don't just turn up and get the win, you have to put the work in.

We were up 6-2, gave up four goals in the third period, took a 7-6 lead, lost the lead in the last minute and then lost in overtime. We're really close to breaking the ice and getting a victory. I can only think positive.

It was a funny kind of game. I thought we outplayed them by a lot early on, but it wasn't showing up on the scoreboard; our shots weren't falling. Still, we had a good lead at the half, a lead we gave away in the third.

I knew the two-goal lead wasn't safe, they had already come back once. We settled down in the third period and played the way we had to. We did a better job of protecting the puck and came out with the win.

We had an 11-0 lead but then we had an 11-point lead at halftime so they (Westbrook) essentially played us even, which I wasn't too happy with. But we were still in control of the game, which is fine.
