en I am excited to share my experiences in Cairo. There has been steadily increasing contact with the Arab world by ordinary Americans who are trying to understand America's situation in the world context. I will be an intermediary between these Americans and the Arab world. I hope to ease confusion over what is presumed about Arab/Muslim culture and what is factual.

en More than 80 percent of the world's population lives in the developing world, and the Diaspora communities from those countries now living in the U.S. will comprise about half of the U.S. population in coming decades. As Americans, and as Jews, we have a role to play in nurturing relations with Africa, as well as to help foster relations between Israel and Africa.

en She's coming also to try and narrow the gap between Israel and the Palestinians and to help us strengthen our relations with the Arab and Muslim world.

en Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, South-Asian Americans, and Sikh Americans contribute greatly to American society. Many serve honorably in the armed services and as law enforcement officials. Like all law-abiding Americans, they deserve respect for their civil rights and civil liberties.

en The Americans will not allow any Islamic system to come to power even in the heart of the Muslim world unless it collaborates with them.

en Our suicide attackers will continue jihad until Americans and all of their Muslim and non-Muslim allies are pulled out of the country.

en And thirdly, just because of the way we've prosecuted this war and how offensive it's been to the rest of the world, especially the Muslim world, we've created an exponentially larger pool from which actual terrorists might be drawn down the road.

But, almost in the same breath, the president openly acknowledged that he has ordered the government to spy on Americans, on American soil, without the warrants required by law. The president issued a call to spread freedom throughout the world, and then he admitted that he has deprived Americans of one of their most basic freedoms under the Fourth Amendment to be free from unjustified government intrusion.

en Not only do the wheelchairs help people who need them ... the deliveries also help to show the Muslim world that Americans are charitable and trying to help. This is the caliber of person that we have in Iraq doing good work.
