en I'm excited about having a coach. I'm even more excited having a former Raiders player as coach. He has been in that locker room, played for that owner and knows what it's like to be in silver and black.

en I'm going to be as excited watching Car 96 as I was when I was playing. When [original Cowboys owner] Clint Murchison came into the locker room, he was all excited when we won a game and everything else. I guess that's going to be me. It's a different deal.

en He's a great coach, and he's going to make you better. He asks every player to believe in what he's teaching and believe in the system. He's such an exciting coach, you see him jumping on the sidelines and stuff. As a player, you like to see him get excited because he's excited for you and he wants to win, and that's been exciting for us. You just want to do what he asks.

en Thursday's game was a difficult game to coach and endure. Today's was not. It was the best 40 minutes of basketball we've played since Washington State (on Jan. 21). There's an enthusiastic locker room that is excited about practicing on Monday. From those things, I'm pleased today.

en I'm excited to coach Sidney Crosby. He's got a lot of things to learn, but he's got so much skill and so much speed. For a coach, it's fun to have an opportunity to work with a player like him. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him.

en We are very excited to have Jon take over the reigns of the men's soccer program. He has an excellent background as both a player and a coach and has played a major role in the incredible success we have enjoyed. He has a tremendous relationship with our players and has shown a great ability to recruit in Wisconsin and surrounding areas. en Inside the Locker Room is a private, inside look at Coach Lombardi and the men who played for him. The locker room was a very private place; you will hear tears, laughter, prayers and curses. That is the way it was, and my hope is that the listeners will feel that they were right there with us.

en Southern Black players call the coach 'boss' or even 'master.' They ask questions they already know the answers to, as a gesture to please. They let themselves be abused in all manner to keep their jobs. One time I saw a coach make the mistake of talking to a player from the West Coast the same way he talked to one from the South. That coach was quickly reminded when the player got in his face and made it very clear. 'I am a man and you will respect me as a man.' Words to live by.

en We had a feeling in the locker room before the game. Guys were excited, nervous and tight in a good way. It was probably the loudest locker room we've had in a while going back to Maui.

en After two years of working with Garrick, I truly believe he has a great future and can be a special coach. He has an impressive background, as a coach and a player, and he will be committed to excellence with our offense and quarterbacks. I'm excited about this move for Garrick and our football team.

en This is something that I have always wanted to do. I got the opportunity to learn from Coach Ashcroft in the past. I am very excited to now be the head coach of the baseball program. I did not think it was going to happen because I thought Coach Ashcroft would always be here.

en We're pretty excited. The first thing we said when she got in the locker room, we called her a little cherry-picker. You know, Ashley is very offensive-minded for a defensive player. She got the job done.

en We wanted to bring in a coach that played in the league and had a solid coaching background. We didn't have to look far. Brian knows the players, knows the league and knows how to coach. We are very excited to have him coaching our inaugural team.
