Our ministry's mission is to revitalize the Desire neighborhood. It was once ranked the worst neighborhood in the country. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. We may have an opportunity to rebuild it in the way everyone would want it to be.

When we have an opportunity to rebuild a neighborhood, it has to be diverse. You can't have concentrated areas of one kind of housing.

I was a little lacking in vision as mayor - I failed to understand the significance that housing and the revitalization of housing means for a city, ... We spent a lot of effort trying to revitalize neighborhood business districts, create neighborhood industrial parks, assumed that if the jobs come somehow the revitalization will occur, the businesses will come. ... Well, no, they won't because nothing has changed about the disposable income characteristics of the community.

A neighborhood barbecue is essentially what we've put together. We wanted it to be a neighborhood thing since the accident happened in the neighborhood.

Our goal is to preserve and protect the history of the neighborhood, the character of the neighborhood. Clarksville is on the national register of historic places. It's a historically black neighborhood. It's the first freedman's town west of the Mississippi.

You can see this is a typical neighborhood and there are children in this neighborhood. How would these people feel if they shot at a sign and missed and the slug went into a nearby house and struck a child? Let's leave the drive-bys to the big cities. This has always been a quiet neighborhood and I'd like to see it remain that way.

You can build a zoo virtually anywhere, but you cannot rebuild a park. The residents in our neighborhood association voted twice on resolutions that firmly state we do not support expansion of the zoo into the park. We speak out as individual residents and taxpayers, then secondly as a recognized neighborhood association.

I love this neighborhood, and I get along good with everyone in this neighborhood. We certainly want this neighborhood to accept us. I think it does.

You're talking about neighborhood schools on one hand and about pulling out two of our neighborhood schools ... on the other. That's why we want to keep a neighborhood school in Turtle Creek.

When you first elected me, I said that we would take our country back vote by vote, block by block, and neighborhood by neighborhood. We are making progress toward our goal.

At worst Fields Corner deserves a better quality store than midland has proven itself willing to deliver. At best we deserve the opportunity to really work towards changing the way that property is used so it's more reflective of the neighborhood's needs.

They took the largest, wealthiest black county and reduced it to a stereotype of a poor, dangerous black neighborhood. And the irony is the neighborhood isn't even a poor black neighborhood.

It's a strange thing to say, but it made me feel proud of the neighborhood I live in -- even though my neighborhood is in prison right now.

Ten stories in this neighborhood is appropriate, but north of 10th Street should be preserved as a traditional neighborhood.

Oh, it's wonderful. It's really going to enhance the neighborhood. The back end will be more attractive and tie in more appropriately with the neighborhood feel.
