en This is why playoffs are great. This has always been my favorite time of the year.

en I've never believed in favorites at this time of the year. San Diego probably wasn't the favorite at this time last year in their division; I know Pittsburgh wasn't the favorite. I like our guys and we think we're going to be an excellent team and be there at the end, but you have to prove it in the 16 games that are coming up.

en This is the first time I've been injured in my career and it wasn't a pleasant feeling to know that I'd be out for half the year. Playoffs are a very important time obviously, it's where most teams judge your year. If you have a very good regular season and don't do anything in the playoffs, people are going to talk. I'm going to be relatively fresh for the playoffs. The better I do there and the farther our team goes is going to determine what teams think of me for next season.

en If we're competitive, we have great fans here. Calgary is a wealthy city, and Alberta is a wealthy province. If we come up and make the playoffs this year, this franchise could take off big time.

en We're looking at getting him 50 games, plus the playoffs. He didn't even play 50 last year combined with the playoffs (Flaherty played 48 total), that's why I've been careful with his playing time and rest time.

But after yesterday's game (a 23-20 Saints win at Carolina), our goal right now is to be in the playoffs. That's where we're going to be. Like LSU, they had one great game on Saturday. We had one great game on Sunday. And Louisiana now has to show the rest of the world that we've got two great football teams, all right.
