We needed this win after a disappointing loss at Eureka on Tuesday. We executed very well and we hit the ball well even though the weather was cold and windy. When we got out there (Tuesday), the weather had turned kinda bad. It was cold and windy and not at all like the weather we'd practiced so well in during the past few days. We're just glad to see the kids still perform and not get thrown off by anything, then go out and get the win.

We are looking for mild and dry weather. Cold and rainy, or hot and windy conditions are disappointing. September is our most reliable month for ideal race weather.

We talked about learning to play with poise. It didn't look like it, but we made some growth in that area (Tuesday). The kids executed down there at the end out of a time-out situation. I'm real proud of our kids.

Conditions were not favorable since they were windy and cold. I just tried to keep the ball down and just saw the ball well and hit it hard.
