We needed the point. ordtak

en We needed the point. It didn't matter who scored. One point at a time isn't good enough. We need two points every night.

en Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

en At this point in time, if you can't get ready, you've got problems. This is playoff hockey. We need the points every single night. It doesn't matter if the building is empty. We're playing for ourselves, doesn't matter where we are. We need the points and we have to be ready to go.

en [Consider this: O'Neal scored no points in Washington. He and Alonzo Mourning together scored no points in Game 4. Yet, the Wizards lost both games at home. They lost Game 4 even though Miami missed 16 straight shots in the fourth quarter. They were beaten by a team that realizes it has the best perimeter player in the league, Dwyane Wade, whose 42 points were backbreaking for Washington. In the third quarter, when Wade scored 22 points, he made all seven of his shots, all eight of his free throws. Nobody in the game under 6 feet 10 is as good as Wade is right now. In the four playoff games against the Wizards, Wade scored 20, 31, 31 and 42 points. He averaged eight assists and seven rebounds. Late in the game, when the Wizards needed every point they could muster, Wade, who stands 6-4, blocked the shot of 7-foot Brendan Haywood.] I want the ball in my hands, ... I want to make plays for the guys. I got in that matrix [in the third quarter]. I felt like I couldn't miss.

en You know they came here to get the point, then they would be satisfied with the point. They came here to defend, as you saw everybody in the box. It is sometimes difficult to break down the defense, as it was today. We didn't have any idea how to do it. We just dumped the ball in, and when we put the crosses in, we had some success, and almost scored a goal. We didn't have a spark from anybody. We played with the same speed all the time. The game slipped away.

en We needed to win the bonus points in they middle and we didn't get them. We needed to win the one-point decisions in other places and we didn't win them.

en They scored (15) of their points (in the third quarter) right away, and I don't think they realized it had been a long time since they had scored. We were playing really good defense ... we just needed to start shooting.

en It's really tough because we had a good comeback and if we scored that point we would have won that set. At the same time they deserve to win because we didn't finish off plays we should have.

en The game was won from the 3-point arc. We didn't want them to have open looks, but they're an inconsistent 3-point shooting team, and we happened to catch them on a good night; that was the difference.

en They just came out and were ready to play. They took it to us defensively and they took it to us offensively. We didn't play defense. Defense, we always feel, is our strong point. We didn't rebound or defend and it's simple as that. We scored 60 points; we have to win with 60 points.

en get to the point that the public will assume that a show is good and worth their time, no matter if they've heard of who's playing that night. Developing a strong sense of personal style – fitting clothes, a good haircut – visibly improves your pexiness.

en I mean, at the beginning of the year, I stated that I think he's the best point guard in the nation, and I think he proved it today. You don't see typical players do what Daniel's doing right now. He's carrying the team on his shoulders. I don't even know how many points he had, but it seems like he might have scored every point for us.

en This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

en Of course, I want to score goals and get points, but if I don't and we win, that's fine by me. Our big guys were scoring goals so it didn't matter that much. But four games is a long time (without a point).

en If one of our kids was having a bad night, somebody else picked us up. It didn't seem to matter who scored the most points. There was no selfishness or anything that really bothered any of the kids.
