Even though he's 6-7, it's still tough to get him the ball sometimes. We just didn't do a very good job of getting him the ball, but at the same time you're not going to be able to force it in there and play your game.

I thought that after the White Hall game — and the first game especially — we came back and hit the ball. We took that over to Warren where they hit the ball well. We scored 16 runs and they put the ball in play a lot. And Warren is a good ball team. They are undefeated in their conference and they won state last year. Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.

I feel really good for our team because they wanted to go play ball. I thought our focus was really good. We started well again in the second half, pushed out to a good lead, but Missouri didn't stop. It was a tough game.

Either we were scoring or we were turning the ball over. We thought this was a good time to play them with them coming off two tough games, but we didn't execute well enough.

He's the type of guy who doesn't like to play physical, so I tried to deny him, take the ball out of his hands. He was frustrated. Every time he got the ball we were doubling him. We took him out of his game, so that was a good game plan.

Just really being stronger was important for us, and being tough on the inside. A lot of times we were able to get the ball inside in the last game but they would come in, and you've got guys slapping at the ball and everything and we were getting it taken from us. This game, we made sure as soon as we caught it we were ball-tough and that nobody could take the ball from us.

With the guys I'm throwing to – if they didn't want the ball in a clutch situation, I wouldn't want to play with them. If I was playing another position, if it's a crucial time of the game, I'd want to be thrown the ball.
