en I love it. I'd do it again any time, and I'm sure we'll do it for other records. It was awesome. We met cool people and got some really good songs out of it.

en If we found some other dude, to sing I'd love to move on. Write some cool tunes and change the name and go on like that. I don't see continuing as Alice and replacing somebody. We're not trying to replace Layne. We want to play these songs one more time, and if it seems like the right thing to do, it'll happen. I don't know how long it will go or where it will take us. It's kind of a tribute to Layne and our fans, the people who love these songs. It's not some 'I'm broke and I need the money' situation. We love playing together.

en I feel like people have only heard half a record so far. But we like releasing shorter records. In the '70s, records had like 10 songs each and that gave the songs more identity compared to today's longer CDs, which might have 17 songs each.

en Yeah, she's awesome. I'd love to meet her someday. She has people write some good songs for her.

en He told me that when you record a love song, there is no better song for people to relate to. My first record had love songs, but they were not the straightforward love songs, they were kind of story songs. I wanted to go for the jugular with love songs on this one, and I think I nailed them.

en Look what he's done. He's brought a program back, and that's a big thing. He's the leader of the team. A lot of people say his stats aren't as good as Reggie Bush and all theirs, but shoot, he was out by the third quarter every game. We helped him do that, so it's cool. I love it, it's awesome.

en Everyone pretty much stays on the General Jackson the whole time. Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. We all get on the floor and dance to old songs like Love Shack and The Electric Slide ? these songs bring everyone together to have a good time.

en I hope these songs impact people’s lives in the positive, make people think about love. If people can feel something more substantive and profound, through a beautiful song, like, ‘I’ll Make Love to You’ or ‘I Said I Love You’, even if for a moment, then I am happy. If they can touch that deeper place and feel a bit of what I felt when I played these songs, then I’ve done my job.

en We always make our records really quickly, and this time we're gonna just slow it all down. Usually we write 12 or 13 songs, and then we just record them and that's it. We'd like to write, like, 40 songs and really spend a lot more time writing than we ever have.

en It's cool, because we're getting as many requests at our shows for (our) original songs now as we are for covers now. People really seem to enjoy our songs.

en I start songs all the time. If I weren't so lazy, I would finish them. It's like when I have a deadline I have to. I always feel very lucky that I am forced to make records at certain times. If I was forced to make 2 records a year, I would write twice as many songs. I can't make myself finish something unless I am forced.

en Listen, I love old Madonna songs--I don't know one person who doesn't. But we want to focus mainly on this album. I think people love it and they want to hear it, so expect a lot of the songs from Confessions on a Dance Floor .

en We did two records and cut some good songs, but I don't know why we didn't last. We were insane. We were like, what, 24 years old at the time. We just moved on, I guess, which is the nature of the business.

en We're going to try to ask a bunch of friends to play on it. They've put out some records (in recent years), but we really want to do something that gets back to sounding like the classic stuff they did. There's a whole bunch of people our age who love those songs even if they don't necessarily know they're by America.
