We didn't know what ordtak

I'm disappointed with our effort tonight. I didn't feel that we played hard until midway through the second half. You can't do that and expect to win. This is a 40-minute game. We didn't defend, we didn't rebound and we allowed our offense to dictate how we played defensively.

I thought we were not as mentally alert. We played somewhat out of character, but as bad as we played we still had a chance with a minute to go. We didn't capitalize on our opportunities down the stretch. You play 82 games, and you don't like to say you didn't have it, but we didn't have it tonight.

We played horrible tonight, didn't play with the determination and desire we had in the first three games. The good news is, it's only one game and we're tied in the series. But we clearly have to fix what didn't go right tonight by Tuesday.

This week, this win goes to the 'D'. They really got it done. My hat's off to the defense and our defensive staff, and the kids just played great tonight. I was worried a little bit. They played their hearts out tonight. If they didn't leave everything out there tonight, then you have something to be sorry about. If you left it on the field tonight, you have nothing to be sorry about.

We did not play very well tonight. We were a little tentative and Quinnipiac played with a lot of tempo and a lot of pace. We didn't really carry play tonight. A lot is gauged by how well we collect passes, and we didn't seem to collect pucks tonight.

At this point, a win is a win and everybody is healthy. We really didn't know what to expect tonight, we're just glad tonight is over and there's one down and the next one is Saturday.

Matt is unsure of his role and it will take time for him to get comfortable, but he showed well tonight. He did things tonight that I didn't expect and I am really pleased.

The first time we played them their defense really took us out of what we wanted to do. Tonight I thought our kids responded to their pressure by taking it to the basket.
