en Numbers have been an issue for a number of years. We have very large enrollments in boys' soccer and boys' cross country. And there are only 12 to 14 players in our top level of Pop Warner (youth football). There are not a lot of football players in our community.

en It's not a denial thing. It's not like it's not happening. But, to me, you have got to play football first. We're not trying to be financial guys, accountants or businessmen. We're football players. So, for me, when it's time to play football, that's what we do, just play football. Business and money and contracts all take care of themselves.

en Hunting is deeply ingrained in our folklore and heritage. Just like Richard Nixon watched the Washington Redskins play football, here you go kill Bambi or some birds and you're part of one of the boys.

en Winning isn't everything, but playing to win is. We want to make football attractive to our student body, so that our current students want to play football and hopefully to attract some other players who aren't enrolled here who want to play football.

en Bolton are very difficult to play against and they had a lot of free-kicks and throw-ins and you can't play the football you want to play. I like to play football as well as possible and in the second half we were very good and had a strong character to come from behind.

en It stems from the football field. Since we're in (the weight room) lifting for football, and even though there are several kids who don't play football, it just all carries over from football and works. I think that everyone understands Ben is really the heart of (the team).

en They played with the big boys. A few times they'd come home crying and say something about it. I'd say, 'If you're going to play with the big boys you're just going to have to toughen up and take it.' They did.
