With so many pre-built applications out there written to a specific platform, the choice of platform is important for more than just developers, but also for some of the more technology-adept users who are just looking to use a specific application.

This release falls into the 'you asked, we answered' category. We've taken your feedback from Yahoo! Music Engine's initial release, prioritized it, attacked as many of the issues as time allowed, added a few new innovations, and packaged it all together into this latest release.

We think we need to evolve the platform and development story to keep pace with developers who want to build these experiences that reach across the Internet. The more applications, the more value to the user and the more people gravitate to our platform.
