It's really important to have other guys step up for us. Everyone knows David is a star, but for us we need everyone to contribute. It's great because everyone has confidence. Winning's important to David and he told me to leave him in down the stretch tonight. David doesn't care about scoring and he does a great job of keeping us settled down. A lot of people don't talk about him, but he did a terrific job for us tonight.

I think they have great balance, and any time you have great balance, it's a much more difficult challenge to defend. Pittman has had an outstanding year; over 1,100 yards in ten games. I think he's tough, has great vision, finds the hole, and of course he's surrounded by a lot of good people. When you're complimented and you have the balance to both run and throw, then it opens everything up.

We needed those guys to step up for us. And they did. Mike was involved from the beginning and A.J. stepped up for me when I was struggling tonight. It's great when you get that bench production and those guys come in with that confidence.

We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

David has dealt with a hip injury of late. It will be important for the guys that he scores points for the team even if he is not feeling great.
