It's my understanding that we will provide them our roster as usual, and they will make arrangements to get an athlete tested in their home if they aren't here during the summer. I'm not sure anyone has worked out the logistics yet, but they are supposed to be doing year-round testing. They called it year-round in the past, but this is really it.

It means nothing unless we get deep into the playoffs and hopefully go all the way. We've had good years and lost in the first round in the past two years. We have a first round bye this year so that isn't going to happen. We know we have a game at home. We hope to get a win at home. We're not done working yet.

When we play other teams that have year-round facilities, you can see the level that they are at compared to ours. If we had a year-round program and kids could skate during the summer, it would really grow and our competitive abilities would be higher.

This is what we start in January for and we don't want to go home early. We don't want to be finished this time of the year. We want to still in the next round and we have that opportunity. If we can make our way into the next round, we can go far.

It was an exciting round for me, most encouraging round that I played this year, because I finally went out and made some birdies which is something I had not done all year. I felt really good about the round.

There's always been that one (rough) round in the past. We don't know what happens. We warm up the same, we do everything the same, and the team falls apart, and it hurts us in the team race. It's always tough when you lose in the first round. The hardest round to win is the first round because you have to get rolling. Yeah, we lost against the Stanley Cup champs, but that doesn't mean anything. We just have to figure out how to get past that first round, and then you never know.

Obviously you don't like cutting a third-round draft pick. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. The flip side of that is Jovan Haye, a sixth-round draft pick, made the team. Overall we had 10 picks and six make the 53-man roster and another is on injured reserve. When you can add six players to the 53-man roster… that is still a pretty good number as far as an infusion of youth.

If we're going to go home after the first round again, I'd rather not make the playoffs, ... It was a miserable feeling [last year]. If it happened two years in a row, it would be even worse than last year. I've got to have my swing figured out before then.

The city is excited about it. It will infuse year-round residents into the Main Street area and hopefully spur the economy year-round.

We live in a tennis community. A lot of kids take lessons year-round, and like any sport you play year-round you get better.

The first year (in 2004) we beat them in the first round and last year we lost to them in the first round. So this is kind of the deciding (game), the best two out of three.

What you hear about [Vanderbilt pitchers] is that they're the class of the league. Every year we face them, it seems like there's a guy going in the first round that summer. I'm sure there's a couple more this year.
