I thought it was a good match. We played well and it is good preparation for our conference matches coming up. It is always nice to win the last one for the seniors.

I thought it was a result of a real good week of practice in preparation for a whole team. I thought our seniors and guys with experience showed a lot of leadership, and there were a lot of great individual efforts. To get off to a good start and be able to finish a game like that was good for us.

I thought Brad Hoehner played an extremely good match at No. 1; played one of his better matches of the year. And I thought Jacob Schwartz played very well at No. 2 to win.

It was nice to have that match before playing the two conference teams. We hadn't played outdoors for a while, so there were some adjustments to make. It was a good match. They fought really hard.

I did something wrong, I was punished and I paid for it. Now I want to think about something else and not talk about it anymore. During all that time I did what I can't do when I have a match at the weekend - that is to say a lot of physical preparation. I have now played three top level matches which gave me a good indication of my form.

I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

He knows where those are going, and drops them right in there. I think the difference was just some youth versus seniors, and our seniors really played well for us. Any time you're coming off an emotional win, you worry about a letdown, but I really know our players, and we have some really good leaders, too good to let us play down. There's too much on the line at this point of the season.

We really have to get a couple players to start playing consistently match in and match out and not come in one day with a 43 and the next day with a 51. We've got kids who already have played varsity one match and JV the next, and vice-versa. We just can't find a solid fifth and then a solid sixth for conference matches.

I'm really happy having played four matches extremely well with unbelievable tempo coming into the final. Today I was really flat but I have to take the positive away from the four good matches I played and focus for (next week's Australian Open in) Melbourne.

I thought we did an excellent job tonight after coming off two losses. We played a very determined match and we came out with a good win.

It's a great feeling. As tough as our conference is, to go 7-0 is a great accomplishment. It's nice to have the seniors win it for you. That's real special and Sam is a special wrestler. Played him here last year and it was much tougher. So this was an excellent match for me, maybe the best of the season. I've had some good matches this year, too, but this was against a top-quality player. I thought everything I really wanted to work really worked. I had a great feeling out there.

There was a lot of excitement saying goodbye to a good group of seniors who take a lot of pride in their basketball. We've got four seniors who are good kids, good students and who work hard. I saw some good senior leadership in the huddle tonight. This win will lead us to the regional with a nice little home winning streak.

Our conference is really strong and a tough conference to play in. We competed as hard as we could, but the breaks just didn't come to us. Austin [Smith] played very well and had good effort. We feel good about how we played in the conference all season.
