This year's team has been a very pleasant surprise for us in a lot of ways. I expected this, but I'm not sure that maybe some of our fans and area teams did.

I really expected us to be good at the end of the year. I knew we had talent and that we would be competitive in February. But we've played well early which is a pleasant surprise.

Everybody's goal is to go to the state meet, and a lot of times the girl they are competing with is on their own team. It's not realistic to expect to take four girls in every event, but the most pleasant surprise is we are traveling to Canton with more girls than I expected to have there.
