en We've been working really hard this week on defense and 3-point shooting. I hope to get a little better, but we've come a long way.

en We have been working hard on our defense all week. We had a few days off for the holidays. That was nice, but we got right back to work. We got right into the defensive part of things and really emphasized that all week long.

en His dad and him, all summer long, are in the gym two or three times a week working on his game. He stays after practice a good half hour to 45 minutes just on his shooting drills alone. He's a kid that's self-motivated, he works hard and everything that's happened for him right now, he deserves. He's worked hard for it.

en She really played her best tennis, and I have to give her credit for playing a great tournament. I have been working very hard on my fitness and my game, and I hope to get another chance soon. I am very happy with my week and hope to continue my form next week in Zurich.

en My greatest asset is probably my speed and shooting ability. I work hard on my three-point shooting because everyone wants to be a scorer. I use my speed on defense to create turnovers and get easy buckets in transition, and on offense I use it to get an open look.

en I am of course disappointed, but maybe I need a little practice in the finals of these big tournaments. This was my first Tier I final, and she was just too good for me today. She really played her best tennis, and I have to give her credit for playing a great tournament. I have been working very hard on my fitness and my game, and I hope to get another chance soon. I am very happy with my week and hope to continue my form next week in Zurich.

en We've been working on playing against a zone defense the last few days in practice because we knew they were going to come out in it. They weren't coming out on us at all, so whoever was open was shooting. We're all good 3-point shooters.

en In the second half, we played real hard, pressed hard, got up in their faces. In the first half, we relied on 3-point shooting. We had one 2-pointe and seven 3s. Granted it was a zone defense, but we did a lot of standing around.

en She's been working super hard. She had a personal coach working with her the past two months and as long as she has a good defense in front of her she'll be able to come up with some big saves.

en What we're really pleased with is that they played hard. We tried to execute our defense, but we played a lot of base defense. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do on some things. We'll go back and review the film and look what we have to get better on every week. Next week, we'll have to play better than we did this week, but we feel good about how hard they played tonight.

en It's a good, hard-working, disciplined group. We hope to keep the scores down with our defense.

en We shot the ball great in a (52-19) win at Wareham, but we've been shooting a very low-percentage for the most part. We're still working on getting open shots and good looks in practice. Right now, our defense is making up for our poor-shooting nights.

en I was trying to crowd them and keeping them from shooting the 3 because they are a decent 3-point shooting team. Sometimes we were overplaying them and they were capitalizing, and getting to the basket. Early in the second half, our help defense was so-so, but give them credit they did a good job. en They turned up the defensive intensity and that was the turning point. I thought we played pretty good defense all night too, but you've got to score in the 50s. We're not shooting with confidence right now. We're shooting hoping we don't miss.

en It's been a long, hard road, so I've definitely learned to appreciate what this weekend means. I know so many people who had the same dreams and worked hard but never got to this point. This is the culmination of what I believe God has put me on this earth to do, and now I hope to share my gifts with others.
