en We need a guy like Jeff, someone who's a bit angry, who feels like he has something to prove. Everywhere he's been, he's proved he can play, and then they've decided they want someone else. Here, he's the guy. The team has taken to him, and he's been great, particularly for the young receivers.

en Jeff is a driver that I think has a great deal of potential and a very bright future. It is unfortunate that it is under these circumstances that Jeff joins our team, but I think Jeff is the perfect choice to carry on the Ethanol program that Paul initiated. Jeff has paid his dues and worked his way up through the ladder system. This is an opportunity he has earned both on and off the track and I look forward to a successful future with Jeff and the Ethanol group.

en I think his chances [of making the team] are real good. We've always professed to be in the 'earn it' business. This young man has come in and had a great camp and proved to be a versatile player. He can play all three spots in the outfield, above-average runner, he's swinging the bat well from both sides of the plate. Hopefully he can carry it from Spring Training to the regular season.

en My experience, so far, since I've been here, is that it's tough to know which team will show up. In the third period, we proved that we're not a bad hockey team. We're a great team, when we come to play.
