(Griffin) came into the game hitting .430, he's over .500 now. Davis came in hitting .440, now he's over .500. Both kids had (at least) three hits tonight.

They had kept us off when we were hitting the ball up but not hitting it out. The kids were getting solid hits. They are getting a hold of it when [the pitch] is slower because then they can see it, but that also means that then they can be more patient and disciplined when they are hitting. Weed came up with the big two-run double to tie it and that kind of gave us the spark there. Hitting is contagious. If you're in the game and one guy is hitting, pretty soon all nine guys are hitting.

I think there are some bumps and bruises out there tonight. Both teams played really hard, and you like to see the kids get after it like that. But, yeah, the kids are going to be hitting the ice bags tonight.

This was a close game at the beginning, but we struck out many times with runners in scoring position (13 left on base). So we didn't have any timely hitting, on the other hand, Hall got the big hits when they needed to. They were definitely the better team tonight.
