en We watched film of Oakland's game with Houston last week when their linemen were having a lot of trouble with single blocking. His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness. They were doing a lot of the same thing tonight.

en Danny does all the dirty work. He's the guy who's out there blocking linebackers and defensive linemen ... Danny is a true fullback in every sense of the word. He's like an offensive lineman in the backfield. He's a guy who has been there for (us) week in and week out. He doesn't say a lot.

en I thought we made some adjustments after last week against Edgewood, ... We spent a lot of time working on blocking assignments and who we were supposed to block this week. I thought our guys improved from last week. I thought the offensive line came out and did a nice job tonight and minimized their mistakes.

en Our execution offensively was considerably better than it was in the first week and our defense did another great job against a physical and athletic team. With the travel and all the distractions that come with it, I thought the kids handled everything very well.

en Last week Marceline physically put it to us and we didn't get much going offensively. We focused on that this week; getting back to our power running game and it's evident by our stats tonight.

en We're happy because he was a very unhappy camper this week, and you really don't want to be around him when he's unhappy. We're happy we got the victory for that reason alone. ... en The line and the backs have done a great job of adjusting to the fronts they're seeing. A week ago, it was more safeties and linebackers at the line of scrimmage. This week, it was four linemen covering our guards and our center and a 'backer on the edge that made it a little bit tougher.

en The biggest thing is that, the reason we've had trouble running the ball so far, is that we keep going against three down linemen fronts. And that's just different. It's unorthodox. It's a whole new different set of blocking schemes. (Tulane) runs what we do, four down linemen. And it's just so much more natural. en It wasn't like last week, where I stepped in a little bit unexpected. I was practicing with the ones all week. We were all ready to go this week.
