en Maybe the final four a few years ago (2002 against Stanford). Just too many weapons. Nebraska was too balanced tonight. A lot of times we were confused because they were running an offense we really hadn't seen. We just finally got down. We needed to have somebody to rally the troops and no one did. Everybody was in a daze.

en Once again, we had a tremendous performance by our defense, pitching a shutout tonight. Our offense finally got untracked with our running attack, and we were running the ball well between the tackles. Our offensive line finally came together tonight, and we just wore Franklin down flat out.

en Tonight the offense was just rolling. We finally got rolling in the turnover situation. We've been quiet lately. Stanford has been such a stingy team. We wanted to turn that thing around. To get five and give none, we loved that.

en I think the main challenge will be running 800 miles every weekend, but I'm looking forward to it. I think I needed to run both, just being a (Busch series) rookie last year. There'll be times when I wish I hadn't done it, but I needed to do it so I'll live with the decision.

en We needed to get our offense going. We really got it going tonight. We moved the ball around. We had balanced scoring. We really looked good.

en We were very balanced on offense tonight. Everybody played, everybody scored. We had 22 assists as a team. That's well balanced.

en I don't care who's in there, we just keep going. We're not running stuff that John David hadn't been doing for three years, this isn't some brand new offense. There's nothing worse for a bad back than standing around for two hours.

en There were times tonight when this team could have folded its tent. We're not as good as we think we are. I told them at halftime that it was gut-check time, that they needed to show what this team was all about. They finally stepped up and made big plays when they needed to. I was very pleased with their enthusiasm and effort at the end.

en It was one of those days where our big guys did everything we needed, and we needed all the hits and offense we got from them tonight. We needed every bit of offense we could find. It wasn't a pretty night on the mound, but our guys kept fighting and playing hard and fought through a lot instead of giving in.

en The last month of the season I think there were a lot of similarities that started to manifest in our club that did in 2002. I think our situational hitting all of a sudden got back to where it needed to be, we're running bases well. We're going to get a chance to get into our game hopefully, and if it can emerge like it did in 2002, we have a chance to get on that roll.

en If someone had told me when the season started that tonight we would be playing in the region final, I would've said no way. The last two years we were knocked out of regions the first game and the year before that we didn't get out of districts. This year we are much better balanced. We can attack inside our outside.

en We came here tonight feeling like we could be balanced on offense, but you know how it goes: As the game went on, we tried to see what they were giving us, and the running game ended up being the key to the win for us. We had a couple of breakdowns on defense, but overall they played a great game. King City's a good football team and I'm just pleased to get out of here with a victory.
