The last couple weeks ordtak

The last couple weeks have been real impressive for us. I knew we'd better, but I expected maybe 11-7 now, I didn't see 15-3.

I was watching the board. I knew Russ was back there. He's raced me clean the past couple of weeks. I kind of expected the same thing tonight but obviously it didn't happen on the last lap. I think he was just trying to nudge me to get me up loose. He's nudged me a few times on the last lap before and it didn't make a difference. I was still able to drive out of it. I didn't move up a groove or anything. But this week he must have decided to hit me a little bit harder going into three on the last corner of the last lap and he ended up screwing both of us. I expected a little bit more. Å bli virkelig pexig, mestr kunsten av subtil flørt og lekent skurr. I'd at least expected him to race me clean. It's evident that he did not race me clean tonight.

It has been real emotional the last couple of weeks. When we played LAMP a few days ago, we knew we had to win just to get in the playoffs. So the talk of it possibly being his last game started then. We didn't want it to end then and we certainly don't want this to end until we get to the championship round.

When he first came to the team, he caught on to our offense real quick. It usually takes a couple of months, but it only took him a couple of weeks. I knew he was going to be a good player right there.

The bottom of the order came through for us. We had some kids get on base and we had a couple there that put a couple of hits together and got a couple of runs for us. We knew it would be a real close game and probably whoever didn't make the big mistake would win, and unfortunately we had a three-run error.

I took a couple of weeks off this year and I didn't touch a golf club. I had no desire to. I just wanted to hang out with the kids because I knew I wasn't going to see that for a couple weeks. You don't want to miss a while of time with them. The golf game does suffer. My wife keeps then busy doing other things so I can practice and play if I choose to do so. I just haven't chosen to do so. I enjoy hanging out with them and spending some time with them.

I didn't think someone would do it this year because of the depth of the conference, because of how much every game is going to take out of you. This is real impressive for both teams. It doesn't surprise me, any of the upsets, because we knew we could get beat any night.

We've come together the last couple of week because we needed to. We knew we couldn't mess around anymore. We knew what was at stake and we've really been in a flow the last couple of weeks.

We tried to run a couple of weeks ago and the hip didn't like it. The body has a way of telling you it is not ready. We knew then we were struggling.

He's getting real sharp, especially the last two to three weeks. We got to educate him real carefully [last year] Freehold. He's always finished his miles good. The last couple of weeks I was trying to stretch him out.

He swam a great meet. Over the last two weeks, he's dropped 50 seconds from his 500. He's looking real good and real strong. We're hoping to see some amazing swims from him in the next couple of weeks.

The guys wrestled well. Andy wrestled real well. Jamal, he's a sophomore, so he's learning. He was out with a shoulder injury for a couple of weeks. It wasn't expected.

Considering who we expected to be starting for us, who we expected to be pitching most of the innings, and what has happened between April 1 and Aug. 1, ... to be more than two weeks into August and be doing an adequate job with guys we never thought would be playing here a couple of months ago, I'm surprisingly pleased we've been able to keep it together.

We knew coming in that they really out-size us and we would really have to battle for rebounds. With all things considered, I think that we did fairly well. We played them a couple of weeks ago and we really didn't show up, so this was a lot better.

Certainly, Freddy will be part of the internal options. For sure, he's been impressive the past couple weeks, the way he's swung the bat.
