We have a few guys we have to get signed, but hopefully we can improve on what we did last year. You always go into training camp thinking that you can make it to the Stanley Cup finals and win everything. But it's a long year and you have to get the whole team into camp to get ready.

Expectations don't bother us, because we expect to win ourselves. Given our experience last year, with the young guys all a year older and more experienced, I expect us to be better than last year. I never know what to think anymore. Last year we go up to Notre Dame and spank them all over the court and then they come here and beat us. But I do think when you go on the road and play really well, that's a good sign. That's a sign that you can handle adversity and focus on what you need to focus on.

It's easy for a guy to want to come back now. The hard part is when all of a sudden you're packing the truck up and you're getting ready to go to (training camp). We'll see.

I'm just using this training camp as a base to build up my strength, ... We've got a good month until the season starts. We're not in a rush. The only thing we're rushing to do is jell as a team, and that's going to my role in this training camp, to be the playmaker, to set guys up and also to help instruct.

I'm excited and really looking forward to it. It hasn't even hit me that I was in high school a year ago. (Training camp) has been a lot easier this year – knowing the team, the routine and what to expect.

Notre Dame is a top-10 team and DePaul is not, and that's the difference. If we had played with the same energy that we did against Notre Dame, the outcome may have been different today. There are no excuses.
