It has been quiet in general. We say some money go into mutual funds this week, so there was some buying this afternoon on the morning dip.

The real money isn't in the market. Over the past week, all the buying has been done by hedge funds, and it looks like they're finished buying.

The market just showed mild profit-taking in morning trade but the losses were limited. It turned higher in the afternoon as funds started buying blue chips such as China Mobile again.

There was a lot of good news this morning, and a lot of money rushed into the market, ... After that kind of rush you're seeing the buying power dry up a bit in the afternoon.

The market is looking better. The mentality is good. They're buying on the dips. Maybe we've finally broken out of the downtrend. It's not just the hedge funds. You're seeing mutual fund money coming in. You're seeing the individual investor start to come back in.

This is not a retail driven market. It's the hedge funds, the mutual funds and the institutional investors driving the action ... they come in all buying or all selling and that's why you're seeing so much volatility,

We've had a pretty good run. We took a pause today (Friday) but it's very quiet and there's no one around. So it's (next week) going to be a volatile week and a quiet one.

I think our market will see the same as the U.S. did -- some buying in the morning and then coming off in the afternoon.

I hope the finance minister allows our mutual funds to invest in any actively traded listed foreign company. Easing the regulation will offer mutual funds the opportunity to explore companies overseas, also giving the investors more variety.

Despite those amazing returns, by and large all those funds really did was lose money for a lot of people. One of the main points of owning a mutual fund is to be able to access high-quality professional management. But you are throwing that away when you buy funds like these with some manager who just happened to get lucky.
