en He's been instrumental long before this losing streak. When I first met him back in junior high, I was a fan. I still am. I have as much respect for him as I do for anyone that I've ever been around.

When you're on a winning streak, it seems you can't do anything wrong, and even when you do something wrong, it seems that it's overshadowed by something bigger or better. When you're riding a losing streak, it seems you're always just one mistake from putting yourself back in that big hole.

en They knew about (the losing streak) because I told them. I wanted that ball. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. But Travis pitched a good game, and I gave it to him. We're growing, but we've still got a long way to go. I'm extremely proud of them. We're trying to build this thing back up where it needs to be.

en We'd already lost two in a row and we didn't want to start a losing streak. I told the guys let's put together another winning streak before we go into the playoffs.

en When you are in a losing streak, it showed a lot of guts to come back after that two-run homer.
