en We just wanted to avoid the rain this year. Opening day got rained out last year. It's been a good time for the players and parents.

en Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. I think every young player hits his stride at a different time. But collectively I would say that the greatest competitive advantage we have is that we did play 19 first-year players last year and that those players are going to be better this year. And they're going to be better next year.

en This time of year is usually slow in the gaming industry, so it would be nice to have a soft opening, but I have a feeling we're going to have a lot of attention. We'll have good crowds on New Year's.

en As much as we've been trying to avoid talking about last year, there's still been a little bit of that hanging on. This was an eye-opening experience for all of them. We're not the same caliber of team that we were last year. This team's capable of that, but we've got to work for it. We're going to have to go toe-to-toe with people and battle it out. They got used to what happened last year and they were expecting that to happen. This team has got to make things happen. I think that's something that was driven home tonight.

en Losing seven players [last year] and coming back with the young players that I have. We are really happy with the way that they have performed. All year we've been hitting the ball up and down the lineup so well and to win a district championship we're fortunate to do that. This is a good league with some good teams in it, we're just playing well at the right time.

en If a child scored a 300 in reading last year and the score improved to 350 this year, the child and their parents would each receive the increased difference between the two scores in tickets to use as cash in an auction of many large-ticket items at the beginning of the next school year. The kids may use their tickets separately or combined with parents' to bid on items such as big-screen televisions, bicycles, DVD players and more.

en It has rained a lot of the time, but it didn't rain a lot.

en Oh the rain's good. We haven't had a lot of rain this year, and the fruit's sort of small. And every time it rains, the fruit gets a little bigger and that's what we need.

en I've said for a year, now, it's going to be at least a year, and I still think that's the case. No Stanley Cup handed out this year. Hopefully we get it done in January like we did the last time, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. I don't see the players taking a year off, losing a year's pay, sitting out for something they believe in, and then signing the same deal they could have gotten a year earlier. That's not going to happen.

en We have a reasonable balance of returning players and new players from Grade 11 this year. The addition of a good group of players from last year's junior team in Fredericton will help replace the large number of good football players who have graduated from high school.
