en It's devastating. We wanted that bronze medal every bit as much as we wanted to win the semi-final. We had given some great performances over the last week but just came out on the wrong end of it.

en In the ski jump someone did the math wrong, and for 50 years the wrong person had the bronze medal. It wasn't until 1974 that a bunch of Norwegian historians got together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Winter Games, and one of them looked at the statistics in the ski jump and realized that an American, Anders Haugen, had actually won the bronze medal, and a Norwegian had gone to his grave thinking he had won. But Haugen was still alive--he was 85--and he finally got his bronze medal.

en We were excited to go out and redeem ourselves. We wanted to show the rest of the world we're a great team. We worked hard this year. We weren't going to throw it away because of one game. We wanted that bronze medal.

en Playing for the bronze was hard because losing the semi-final was very breaking. We are disappointed for what happened with Sweden but I'm happy with the medal.

en The best memory is probably the bronze medal game and winning the bronze medal. Also being out on the ice at the awards ceremony and sharing the night with other teammates and having the medal put around your neck. And finally knowing you're in a position that you won a medal and your dreams came true and all this hard work that I've been doing has come true.

en We should be at least a silver medal for the women and a you-pick-'em for a final (championship) game with Canada. For the men, Canada will be the favorite, with the U.S. Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. , Russia and Sweden probably making up the rest of the final four. The U.S. should be in a position for a bronze medal.

en Our guys played well. It was a great experience. They have to get wound up to play in the bronze medal game now. That always doesn't seem that enviable when you're preparing for that game, but long-term, not everybody has an Olympic bronze medal either.

en It wanted specific and later-stage matches, presumably the semi-final and final, which was uncalled for.

en It was pretty amazing getting it. There?s a lot of great teams in the world, and we were fortunate to win the bronze. A bronze medal is a great thing for this team and who we represent.

en There have been several factors affecting our performances but we are in an All Ireland semi-final now and it is up to us to do ourselves justice.

en It's tough to say we had a 100 percent chance (at a medal), but with countries moving in and out of the bronze medal place, we definitely had a chance at one of the bronze or silvers. It just didn't happen, unfortunately. But I don't think we can be too upset. We skated good. There weren't any huge mistakes where someone fell down or we totally blew an exchange. With China and Canada, it's tough.

en Chad had a tough day. It's great that he got that medal, but I know that he really wanted more. It will give him something to work for next year. No matter how you look at it, he's a two-time medal winner down here and that's a heck of an accomplishment.

en On the whole, to capture the bronze medal is really what we wanted. Especially since we graduated 75 percent of last year's team. It was quite an improvement against some very difficult teams. Huntington and Brentwood brought back their entire team from last year. Overall it was a good day.

en I saw after six laps I was seventh. At this time nobody would have thought I could get the bronze medal. But these are the Olympic Games and we are in Italy so I did my best over the final laps.

en It's great to win a bronze medal, but I just want to focus on the next races coming up.
