I'm going to Michigan ordtak

I'm going to Michigan State now. It did take a while for me to decide. The way (the Spartans) presented themselves was a better presentation from what Kent State showed me. What Kent State showed me wasn't the kind of receiver I am. What Michigan State showed me was more like what I did in high school.

When I went up to Michigan State, its presentation was more aggressive than Kent State and academics was pushed more. The coaches showed me film of what they want me to do and I've been doing what they showed me my whole life.

I look forward to continuing my coaching career at Kent State. My goal, as it has been since the day I arrived at Kent State, is to continue the tradition our program has developed. We will strive to maintain the high level of excellence Kent State basketball has achieved in recent years.

Who knows what he's going to do. It's two different programs. You go from Kent State to Michigan State, that's two different worlds. He owes it to himself to go there, take a look and see what they have to offer.

The top three teams in the Big Ten were Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State. But Zook and his staff showed they know how to recruit. They did a very good job.

The Michigan State coaches asked the Kent State coaches not to send it to us because we wouldn't send them ours. I have no idea why they would lie to them. It's kind of a bad deal. But you do what you do to win, I guess.

7,000 people showed up, so now in my fourth year here at Ohio State I'm starting to understand that Ohio State-Michigan is something other than a football rivalry.

Right after us (in '08), they have Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State. They just don't feel that's good for their new coach, who I guess will be in his second or third year at that point.

He reminds me of Jeff Kent -- I saw him in A ball in the Florida State League. Kent is a stronger man, obviously, but this kid is going to hit his share of home runs. He has power, and he's going to be an excellent second baseman. He has more range than Kent.

Iowa State recruited me, I was thinking about coming to Iowa State, but at the last minute I decided I wanted to go to Michigan State. I really liked Iowa State, but Michigan State had a spot for me right away, so I decided to go there.

Obviously, for us to win one or two more games wouldn't hurt. But we're the No. 1-ranked conference in America and we've been able to finish .500 along with Michigan State. We're both 8-8 and we split with one another. No one's talking about Michigan State not being in.

I had a wonderful four years at Michigan State and they did a great job preparing me for the NHL. We played tough competition so it was pretty easy for me to step right in when I went to the NHL. I went directly to the NHL and quite a few other Michigan State players have done the same thing.

We knew it was going to be a tough game. Michigan State was not going to go down easily. They fought back. They're down one goal. A bounce one way and all of a sudden it's in the net, and we could be sitting here wishing Michigan State good luck. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive.
