In terms of running ordtak

In terms of running the team, I mean, it's pretty much the same as it always is. I've been, obviously, to quite a few ties with these guys and seen how Patrick runs the show. So it's pretty much status quo.

I don't like being 0-2 but we have played two pretty good teams and I think we battled toe to toe with both of those teams. Our running game right now is pretty sharp. Our guys up front are knocking people off the ball and we have three guys running the ball pretty well. Defensively, I thought we took a huge step. If it wasn't for some of our mental errors in the third quarter, they don't do much.

He' s going to be pretty good. Just by hearing him talk out on the court, he can really lead a team. Point guards have to be vocal and have to be heard. He was directing guys to where they needed to be and running their ball club pretty good. Once he gets comfortable he's going to be a pretty good player.

Nick Van Exel (1971-)

He scores goals in bunches so its obvious we're going to need him and everybody else to show up for the next two games. When we don't bring our speed to a game we're a pretty average team but on the nights we're flying we're pretty much unstoppable. I think the guys realize what team we need out there to wrap this thing up.

That's pretty much just my job -- get on any way I can. We have such a strong lineup behind me, guys that can knock in runs. All I have to do is get on base and I know pretty much I'm gonna score.

The team has looked pretty good. Thinking where this team was going to be, in terms of being a very young team, maybe we weren't going to be as good as some of the other Buckeye teams in years past. Jordan is a little bundle of energy. She is fearless. She wants to show the other team that she is a pretty good player. She is always running and being aggressive.

Kelly Gutierrez

He is great, he runs hard. He's studied the offense pretty well. He sets up my blocks pretty well. I think he is going to gain a lot of yards. It is going to be fun to block for him. I have blocked for a lot of good running backs, and they can really make your job easier by setting up blocks, making the correct reads.

Chris Hetherington

I don't rate them, but he's pretty good. There really isn't much that he can't do. He's good in the passing game. He runs inside. He runs outside. He runs with power. He has a lot of speed. He turns short gains into long ones . . . he can throw it. I think he has a pretty good complement of skills.

We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.
