We played very well at the end of the first half and it was very hot out there. We felt we could score. We should have had a couple of goals. Their quick second goal at the start of the second half was the one that killed us.

We tried to start better and score a couple of quick goals, and it was a big plus when we did that. Overall, I think we played pretty well defensively.

(Palmetto) showed a lot of heart. That last 25 minutes of the (first) half, we limped. We were lucky we weren't down a couple of more goals. But we played well enough in the second half to get those two goals.

I think when you score first, especially if you do it early, it has an adverse effect because players can say, 'job done'. We knew that was far from the case. At half-time we felt we needed the players to be focused because we had been poor in the first half. We had to wake them up and we definitely started the second half better. We had enough quality in the two goals to do that, although it was a very tense end to the game.

We played much better in the first half. I thought Chad's goal was a good one off the free kick. We should have scored a couple more. I thought Chad Marshall was very good. Can't say the same about everyone that played in the second half, giving up soft goals.

They got fired up. They adjusted on the draw control and they got a couple transition goals. We were on our heels for a minute, and we didn't get back up there quick enough until the second half. They really took advantage of the last two minutes of the half.

I?m proud of the way the girls played tonight. I thought we played well defensively. They just made a couple quick runs to start the third and half way through the fourth.

It's no secret what we have to do (to have a successful) second half. Our goal differential is about 0.2. We score 3.1 goals a game and give up 2.9. You have to have a bigger margin of goals scored and goals against.

I felt like I played one of my better games in the series. Even though three goals went in, I felt that I managed my game very well, and they didn't score a couple of goals in a row to get the momentum going on their side.

I thought we played a good game. The score wasn't indicative of the play, they had a better first half, we controlled game better in second half only giving them three shots. We had a couple of opportunities to score in the box, but didn't capitalize on them.

It was as if they played a perfect half. They scored 60 in the first half, and we try to score that for the game... . Randolph-Clay is up to 10 once they start warming up.
