en It was a very big switch for us. By her winning it, Julia and Stephanie Greenfield having a great swim there in the IM, I felt like we could still take 2-3-4 in the 500. A girl like Shannon Kemp, our third swimmer in the 200 and 500, she's really stepped up and she did it again today. She took a fourth in the 5, and a fifth in the 200. That is very helpful to us.

en In the fourth quarter we really stepped up our defense. Jessica Dooley was killing us and we stepped up on Stephanie McBride.

en It was a good swim, both of them were good swims. I felt pretty nervous. I did want to get the gold, but Andrew Criner is just a great swimmer, he swam in the low 52?s.

en It becomes a bit of a chess match, because I have to put my A swimmer hopefully in a spot where she will swim better than their A swimmer.

en She's just an amazing swimmer, ... We have a great juniors program in Sheridan Swim Club. My sister and I have swum there for 13 years, since we were four?years old. Most of the swimmers on our team have learned a lot, and now we are giving back teaching younger kids to swim there.

en He gave me an opportunity to swim against the best swimmer of his day in the lane next to me, ... Don Schollander. He said, 'Keep up with him,' which I did. Then he taught me how to beat him, which I did. He was a great teacher. He knew what he was doing, and he instilled a tremendous amount of confidence in those around him.

en I do have some great shooters who are working on consistency. Shannon King stepped up and hit some big 3s.

en I felt that I had a good, smart race for sectionals. I felt that I didn't over swim it and I felt confident that I could make it (to state) again. Yeah, it feels great going down again.

en Shannon really pitched well today. (Jenna) Hall is just a tremendous batter. Shannon gave up some hits, but she was able to do was keep the ball in the park and that was key.

en I feel like today I played a lot better. The other night I felt like I was just a second or two off in my reactions. Today I felt like I stepped it up a little and was more consistent and was in control of the points more.

en It felt great winning a championship on our home floor. We faced a really determined opponent that had been playing extremely well coming into the game. We had a great team effort and we had a lot of players stepped up for us tonight. This win really showed how much heart and chemistry we have on our team.

en [This win] felt good because we felt like we let one slip away in Utah. We did what we needed to do to make shots in the fourth. We didn't score a bucket in the fourth over there, and today we had a bucket within the first 15 seconds.

en I'm just not trying to think about it as my last meet as a Virginia swimmer. After it's all over, I'll think of that. All the hard work we've done, I'm just going to go and have fun and swim fast.

en It's independent of that. Denzel didn't come here to get reviews. He's had reviews. Julia didn't come here to get reviewed. She's had the Oscar. She came here because she felt like doing this just as you might feel like getting up in the morning and doing something, going to the park, biking. It's not much more complicated than that. There is something in her that said, 'Julia do this.' With her, the consequences of doing this are this, so it becomes immense. That's not her doing. She is simply obeying a small voice in her head that says it is time for you to do this.
