en That's something to be very proud of. There are a ton of teams that were plenty good enough to qualify four years in a row that didn't do it. That just goes to show how hard these kids work, and it says a lot about the Edwardsville program. These kids have a lot of heart, they could have quit when things didn't go their way, but they found a way.

en I was really happy that the girls didn't quit (when they got down). Our pitcher got lit up and lit up hard. Our kids could have very easily put their heads down and quit, but they didn't. Our kids executed very well.

en I thought our kids were well represented on all district teams. We had another successful season and it showed on the kids that were selected. Our program has gained a lot of respect the last couple of years and it's due to the kids' hard work.

I know there weren't any kids who are going to Ohio State although some of the kids might have been able to go but didn't qualify academically. I don't think it was a down year.

en We played awfully good defense. We needed to hit some more shots. We didn't quite get it done but the kids never gave up. They have so much heart. I'm so proud of the kids.

en I think they responded well and now we are looking forward to playing two more games. Any time you can get kids on the floor it's good. Things didn't really go our way early, but they found a way to pick up their defense and did a good job. It was a great day for our program.

en The girls didn't quit, and I'm proud of them. They worked hard until the end. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. But we have to make the most of the opportunities given to us, especially against the good teams.

en I told the kids I was proud that we didn't give up. I'm not proud of the loss, but I'm proud that we never quit. That's something we can build on.
