I've said this many, many times: I don't need to be validated, not in basketball, ... I've won three championships. I was on the all-defensive team (nine times).

I want to be a competitive team every year. They have a good track record. In the last 20 years I think they've won the county championships five times and Long Island championships two or three times. So in the last 20 years they've had some nice athletes here. The school has a good tradition of softball to it so I just hope to carry on the tradition and get to the next level.

It would have been awesome to look back and say I won SEC championships, and I won all those rings, but you're not going to have that stuff. You have to remember the times with your friends, joking around in the locker room -- the good times and the bad times. Hopefully, you remember the good times.

You have to give Jake credit. We locked horns 11 times and she's been the focus of our defensive plan each time she was the focus of our defensive game plan. Today, we ran an inverted diamond-and-two and it worked pretty well. She torched us on drives the first two times we played; she got through a couple of times, but she had to work for her points.

A lot of times, I hate to say this, I've realized in time that there's lots of times coaches have to go, and there are times in basketball that players need to be moved.

I hate playing a team three times in the same year. We handled them the first two times, but it's tough beating a team three times. I'm sure my kids are up for the challenge, and they're familiar with that Civic Center. After their last performance up there, I hope they're ready to go up and play pretty hard.

San Antonio is the best defensive team in the last seven or eight years. They don't normally change things, but they changed their (defensive) coverage three or four times in that game. It didn't work, unfortunately.

We gave Southern Connecticut everything it could handle. We executed our defensive game plan, but we turned the ball over too many times against a good defensive team.

Our defensive strategy was to make sure when Tucker had the basketball, the closest defensive player to him would stand in the gaps. We wanted to make sure we had two spies on Tucker at all times. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself.

I thought there were times (against South Carolina) when guys created off the dribble and didn't find him. I thought he should have gotten up 10 or 11 shots. There was three or four or five times when our guys missed him. Our team has got to do a better job of recognizing when he's open and getting him the basketball.

There were times that they've shown they can do it easily but there's times that they're not on the same page. There's times the two of them are in the same spot. I know where this team is going, I know what I want. There's certain things I don't like but at the end of the day they can do it.

I was proud of my team tonight, they really hung in there. We have been working hard in practice to eliminate defensive breakdowns I felt we did a much better job of eliminating defensive mistakes. Even though at times they carried the play, I thought we did a nice job.

While I am sorry to see Mitch leave and we will certainly miss him, he has made a difficult but wise choice, ... There are times when basketball becomes irrelevant and this is one of those times. I and his teammates wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

The bill of rights remains the same, and the obligation of the Court to protect those basic liberties in times of peace and in times of war and in times of stress and in times of calm, that doesn't change,

I knew they were a good team. We got the No. 1 seed our district, but I think all four of us were 14-10 or 14-9. So, there wasn't one team better than the other. I saw them three or four times and thought they were an excellent basketball team.
