en Both my pitchers battled the last two games and that's all I can ask for.

en It was a game not under the greatest conditions. It was not a day for pitchers with the wind. All the pitchers out there battled under conditions. There were no breaking balls with the wind. The pitchers did a good job with that.

en I think these games will really help us. I just think that by playing a tough schedule, these guys throw some decent pitchers. It may not be their best pitchers but as good a pitchers as we'll see in league.

en Both pitchers had phenomenal games, both two-hitters. Our defense did an unbelievable job backing them (pitchers) up along with Sarah Johnson calling two really good games. We really needed these two wins and to do it against Truman is awesome.

en We battled back to within a run in the fourth inning. From that point on, our pitchers got behind in the count. So, their batters sat on the fast ball. You can't win many games when you give up six walks in an inning like we did in the fourth.

en We battled really hard this week and two of the three games were extra inning wins for us. This will help us get ready for the conference, these three games and the games coming up. The first few games we had weren't tough games for us.

en Our kids battled. It was good to see a couple of guys come through with some hits that haven't (before). Maybe it will help us down the road. That's been the story of our season, we give up too many unearned runs. If we play defense, routine stuff behind our pitchers, then we probably win a few more ball games. You can't win in our region when you give teams extra outs.

en Going into the games, I wasn't sure what to expect from our hitters just going against out pitchers. I guess our pitchers had a little more movement than what we faced down there.

en Let me say that our pitchers now have a disadvantage because our pitchers usually have games where they pitch 125 pitches. And here they were limited to 65, 80 or 95. So our starters are used to playing seven or more innings.

en They (freshman pitchers) might have been a little nervous. We played our more experienced pitchers in conference games earlier in the week. The experience will be good for them.

en My hat's off to New London. They played a great game and battled hard. They really battled Ellie (Radke) hard in the post. It was one of those games where we knew it was going to be a battle.

en Our whole team battled at the plate, making their two best pitchers throw a lot of pitches.

en We came up short today. We battled as hard as we could but it wasn't enough. We can't overlook their pitchers. We've seen them now and know what to expect for tomorrow.

en Ricardo battled. He did a nice job. We needed somebody to step up. We graduated all our pitchers. He pitched like the ace of our staff, which he's been so far.
