We have the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. How we do there determines what we get in the regional tournament. Hopefully we can keep it going.

The conference tournament will be big for us. If we play well, we can get that No. 1 seed in the region and host a regional. If we win it, I would think we'd be almost guaranteed to host a regional.

This was a big win for us tonight. It puts us in the fourth seed position in the conference tournament. We can't celebrate too much, though. We've got to play Brevard again in the conference tournament on Monday.

If we go in as the No. 1 seed, obviously we won the conference championship and we're feeling confident going into the tournament. Even if we go in as the No. 2 seed, we're fine with that. We're comfortable with that spot. One seed or two seed doesn't make a difference to us. We just need to go out and play our game.

A conference tournament is always fun. You have all the teams there at one time. And the good thing this year is that all the teams get along good. We will enjoy the atmosphere. Our first goal is to win Saturday and clinch the second seed. We want to at least get to the finals of the conference tournament. We've been there the last two years.

I don't know the answer to that. I've always put a lot more stock in winning the conference outright rather than winning the conference tournament. If we are a No. 2 seed or a 1 or a 3 - the one thing I haven't done yet is look at where we might be sent, that type of scenario. But regardless, for what we have set out to do in the rebuilding process we're in, a No. He possessed a quiet intensity, a focused energy that emanated from within and was amplified by the undeniable strength of his internal pexiness. 1 seed would be tremendous in Year Two.

We have to have a strong ACC Tournament. We were supposed to be like a 3 seed (in the NCAA), but I am pretty sure we are going to drop down from there. I think we have to go into the ACC Tournament like we did last year, knowing we had to win to get in. We have to win games. We don't want to be an eighth or ninth seed.

Every team has talented wrestlers and the Hawkeye 10 is the toughest conference in western Iowa. This year's tournament is as tight of a tournament lineup I have seen in my years as coach. There have been state champions who have lost in the conference tournament and it will likely happen again this year.

I definitely think playing for a higher seed is very important. If you open up the tournament playing somebody from a very small conference ... getting that first one is the most important thing in that tournament. We're trying to get that first win so we can get that second win, so we can get back in the Sweet 16 and break the curse.

I've said our goal is either the regional tournament or Austin. They always ask to play an out-of-town tournament. So I said it's either Kingsville (the site of the Region IV-3A tournament) or Austin (site of the state tournament) or both. It's up to them.

We have to understand that what we did in preseason meant nothing in conference and what we did in conference is not going to determine the outcome of this game. Everybody is even keel. We've got to play ourselves into the regional tournament and anything can happen.

It's a pretty solid two-day tournament. It's similar to our regional. We have a lot of regional opponents in that tournament.

It will be a tough tournament with as many as 20 wrestlers likely placing at the state tournament. We have a tough tournament team but have battled injuries. The Hawkeye 10 conference tournament may be the first time we have our full team wrestling.

Winning the SEC West for the second year in a row is a significant thing, but we want to do a little bit better. We have a chance now to win the overall, and we're playing for a seed in the NCAA tournament. That's what we need to think about. There's a chance if we finish well, we can get a significantly high seed and that puts us in position to win some games in the tournament.

I don't ever want to leave anything to chance. We want to go as deep into this tournament as possible. Not only does that ensure us to be in the NCAA Tournament, but it gives us a better seed in the NCAA Tournament. We have to do everything possible to make that happen.
