en I was very pleased with the way we played last week. We beat a big, physical Murray State team and we did it soundly.

en We played very poorly last week but we got some breaks. We were not pleased and the kids know we were not pleased. They (Elmwood) were not pleased with their effort. Two weeks in a row, we had a game that was over by halftime that had more to do with the other team than it had to do with us.

en The course played difficult today with the temperature and wind. I was very pleased with our team's grit and determination considering their health and physical state. Gary struggled a little today, but had a very solid overall tournament.

en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en Anytime you can beat Murray State it's memorable.

en I'm so excited to be here at Murray State. For me, the biggest attraction of all is how the fans and students of Murray State are basketball crazy. I'm looking forward to experiencing it and continuing the great Racer tradition. I'm used to coming into a program and turning it around. This is one that I need to keep going and take it another step further.

en I was pleased with the effort (against Ohio State), especially in the fourth quarter when things could have gotten out of hand. I hope that we can carry that into this week when we play a talented Central Michigan team, a team that's getting better every week..
